Adoption & Foster Care Resources
Olive Crest works to transform the lives of at risk children through the healing power of family. Their mission is accomplished through innovative collaboration between churches, volunteers, and child care professionals. Parents experiencing a temporary crisis can arrange for their children to stay with Safe Families for Children volunteers while they address the issues that led to the instability in their lives.
The mission of BraveLove is to change the perception of adoption through honest, informative, and hopeful communication that conveys the heroism and bravery a birth mother displays when she places her child with a loving family through adoption. BraveLove is here to change the way our culture thinks about adoption so that it’s recognized as a viable and more explored path for women in unplanned pregnancies. Through the creation and distribution of media and messaging, BraveLove aims to erase any shame surrounding adoption and instead show how adoption can be an amazing act of love and bravery.
Hand in Hand was born from a group of foster parents, social workers and child advocates seeking to make positive, systemic changes in how children enter and are cared for in the foster system. Hand in Hand supports children and families in crisis through the foundational Christian teachings of respect, unconditional love, and compassion. They exist to foster hope and opportunity for children and families in crisis by providing services focused on protection, provision and permanence.
Bridge Receiving Center accepts children new to the foster care system 24 hours/day, 7 days/week with welcoming staff and services they need. They are developing a therapeutic camp-like facility where children, ages six and older, will find an immediate safe place to stay up to 30 days while preparing for their first placement with a foster family. This initial facility located in Snohomish County will result in more successful first placements and fewer multiple placements.
